Passing the dreaded Rockpile

Monday, July 22, 2019

We passed thru the Rockpile, a three mile stretch of ICW canal cut thru rocks, with ledges that protrude....we passed thru at high tide so you can only see the tops of the rocks.....

New Home for Titan!

We have been exploring Savannah and Hilton Head for a new home for our Tug "Titan", we found it!  Here are Lorre and Kyley by the sign that says it all!  (Mile marker 555 on the ICW) My apologies to my FB friends for the repeat post, I don't plan to make that a regular occurrence 😎.

Hello Blog!

Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog to chronicle our adventures aboard our tug Titan.  This is my first attempt at a blog, many thanks to Dave Howell for all the help setting it up.  We plan to leave Bluffton/Hilton Head tomorrow for Manteo, NC and Titan, where Lorre and I will spend a few days getting ready for the southbound voyage to Hilton Head.  (More on that later).  Lorre will leave us for home in Fayette Country, Ga, and I will plan to cast off for southern latitudes next Friday when my crew Ben arrives.  Here is Titan sporting her new flag at her slip in Manteo!
